About Me.

My Family

My name is Yvonne Wright and I live in Beckenham with my husband and daughter. We have lived in Beckenham since 1997, and the Bromley area for much longer! That means I am familiar with local amenities and make regular use of parks, leisure facilities and groups. My husband,Bill, is a nurse care manager and My daughter,Rebecca, attends Primary school.  

My Home

Our home is situated between Kent House and Clock House BR stations and near to Beckenham Road Tram stop, so Ideal for commuting parents! We live in a Victorian mid terrace house which is nicknamed the tardis as it is, following the improvements we have made over the years, a lot bigger inside than it looks outside! I have an area dedicated to children’s play, sunny conservatory (great for doing crafts at the dining table!) and large kitchen ( where all the yummy stuff comes from!). Since beginning childminding, we have also installed decking to our garden to provide outdoor dining/seating during milder months. This still leaves room for a lawned area which is often used for water play or home camping and to one side, our chicken coop and  raised beds for providing eggs and growing fruit,veg and herbs

 My Credentials.

I am an experienced and qualified child care specialist, having worked as a children and families social worker for seven years prior to child-minding. In addition I have a over twenty years experience in caring professions.

My move into childminding came about as I enjoy working directly with children and supporting parents in their role also. I believe the skills I have learnt as a mother, coupled with my training in child development enables me to offer a high quality childcare service to families looking for caring, competent day-care.

My last OFSTED inspection was in October 2010, when I was thrilled to recieve an outstanding grade for all aspects of my childcare provision. This is the highest grade possible and currently only 9% of childminders in England have this grade.

More importantly for me however, is that I have had some lovely referances from parents, many of whom have kept in touch, and in my annual feedback, continue to receive positive responses from parents using my services currently.
